Who was your favorite teacher and why?
In high school, my favorite teacher was Mr. Pierson because of how much work and care he put into the students. He was my Academic Decathlon coach and the work was often difficult and overwhelming. However, knowing that he cared about my wellbeing and believed in my abilities made me want to strive for excellence. He even inspired me to become a teacher and an Academic Decathlon coach.
