Principal Update 5/19/23

Hello Humanitas families,

This is Mr. Austin, principal of the Social Justice Humanitas Academy with some important information. This message will also be available on our website.

Grades for the final progress report were sent out. If you did not receive one and you do not have access to the Parent Portal, please call our office at (818) 838-3915. Final semester grades will be sent the week after school ends. Please make sure your students are doing everything they can to get their grades where we need them to be.

There will be no school on Monday May 29 in honor of Memorial Day.

Finals week will take place from Tuesday, May 30 to Friday, June 2. Students will be dismissed at 1:07 Tuesday-Thursday and at 2:04 on Friday. It is important that all students attend all of their finals.

The last day of school will be Monday June 5. Students will be dismissed at 2:13 on that day.

Graduation for the class of 2023 will be on Wednesday 5/31 at 5:30 on the CCLA Football Field. Information about tickets, parking, and guidelines for attending graduation were given out to seniors this week. Information will be available on our website.

The first day of school for the 2023-24 school year is tentatively scheduled for August 8th. This is a week earlier than most other LAUSD schools. Please mark that date on your calendar.
